Tukuze Afrika Foundation, Innovators’ Bootcamp & Exhibition 2025/HANDOUT

The Innovators’ Bootcamp & Exhibition 2025, hosted by the Tukuze Afrika Foundation in Meru County, brought together students, educators, parents, partners, and leaders from academia, industry, and government to celebrate youth-driven innovation. As Guest of Honor, H.E. Dr. Joyce G.N. Kithure, highlighted the transformative power of STEM education, mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning.

 

Over 60 student-led projects showcased practical solutions to real-world challenges in agriculture, energy, climate resilience, health, and environmental sustainability demonstrating the immense potential of Kenya’s young innovators. The event honored teachers for nurturing curiosity and critical thinking, parents for supporting learners’ dreams, and partners for providing resources that turn ideas into impactful innovations.

Her excellency emphasized the importance of preparing learners for the Fourth Industrial Revolution by equipping them with skills in artificial intelligence, product development, financial literacy, and intellectual property. Drawing on the wisdom of leaders like Prof. Wangari Maathai, Albert Einstein, Prof. Callistos Juma, Dr. Mae Jemison, and biblical teachings, the Second Lady inspired the students to think boldly, innovate purposefully, and pursue STEM with passion.

The event highlighted that innovation is not only about technology, but about empowering communities, creating opportunities, and driving national development. Students were encouraged to dream boldly, keep exploring, and believe in the transformative power of their ideas.
