Restoration of Manduru Church
During a community engagement visit in Manduru, the SaVE Communities Project identified a local church that was in a poor structural condition. The building lacked windows and doors and was unfinished, exposing it to weather elements and limiting its proper use by the congregation and the wider community.
In line with the SaVE Communities Project’s mission of using practical interventions to add value to communities, Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Kithure facilitated support for the improvement of the church. This intervention included the installation of doors and windows and the plastering of the structure, significantly enhancing the safety, functionality, and overall condition of the building.
Following these improvements, the church is now in a presentable and dignified state, offering a secure and conducive environment for worship and community activities. This initiative reflects SaVE Communities Project’s commitment to addressing real community needs through simple, sustainable, and impactful solutions.
The images below document the transformation of the church before and after the intervention.
